Title: Complex dynamics in higher dimensions


Abstract: The field of complex dynamics in one dimension became hugely popular outside of academia when the first computer pictures of the Mandelbrot set appeared. After the pioneer work of Douady and Hubbard in the 80s, many natural questions have been answered. But in higher dimensions, lots of new phenomena appear and our knowledge is much more limited. This talk will give an overview of these topics, focussing mainly on topological questions.
